Welcome to Andy Coles for Fletton and Woodston

My Six Key Pledges

Supporting our Community Organisations

We are privileged to live in such such a strong supportive community as Woodston.  It's important to preserve the character of our local area and any development must be sensitive and contribute to the overall environment.  Not all developments are bad, and some are necessary, but not at the cost of our communities and the community facilities and green spaces we have.

Working to cut Crime and Anti Social Behaviour

We have a relatively low crime rate, with roughly 108 crimes reported per thousand residents annually, ranking 4 out of 10 for crime levels in England and Wales. This is still too high, and there are key standout issues locally that include anti-social behaviour, violent crime, and drug-related offences.

Key Crime Trends and Incidents:

  • Incidents: Recent reports include police action against "cuckooing" (exploiting homes for crime) on Orchard Mews, drug-related arrests, and violent incidents.
  • Common Crime Types: Data from 2025 indicates that top reported crimes often include violent crime and anti-social behaviour, particularly near locations like Elm Street, Harewood Gardens, and Walnut Mews.
  • Police Response: Police continue to engage and prioritise local crimes when they are aware of the local issues and have an active Councillor lobbying them for targeted action.

I've the experience, knowledge and good working relationships  to help to resolve these problems -  I don't give up easily!
